Cadets must also pass a wilderness survival course to qualify for ground team. This is a three day outing where cadets live off the land in make-shift shelters with only a few basic tools to help them, and no food except what they can gather or catch. Actually, the equipment they are allowed to take will fit in their pockets. |

To stay up-to-date on Search and Rescue, cadets train right along-side the senior members on practice missions, where a mock airplane crash is set up, the units are alerted, and the search is ran just like an actual search would be. |
