2021 ENCAMPMENT UPDATE
Col Young sent this message to Tennessee Wing in late April...
After several discussions with the Director of Cadet Programs, and Encampment Commander, as well as consulting with several possible encampment locations, we have decided that there will be no Tennessee summer encampment for 2021. This decision was based on the projected status of the wing's COVID Remobilization Status and the restrictions placed on us by the host locations.
We are pleased, however, to announce that we are moving ahead and planning a "Winter Encampment". We have no doubt TNWG will rise to the occasion and overcome the challenges as we usually do and come together to have a great winter encampment. The Encampment Senior Executive Staff (Lt. Roberts, Capt. Gillespie, Capt. Roberts & Lt. Col Jeff Clark) have agreed to stay on for TNWG and are excited to get to work in preparation for an amazing week of learning.
The Encampment Commander will announce the dates and location for the winter encampment soon.
If you want to attend a summer encampment in another wing, I encourage you to apply soon. A list of encampments and their dates can be found on the National Database under: CAP Encampments.
