TNWG Education & Training

Our adult volunteers come in all age brackets, bringing an infinite variety of skills.  Regardless of background however, there is still a significant amount of education and training required for the varied missions Civil Air Patrol supports, and more importantly the qualified personnel needed to accomplish those missions.

CAP's academic training programs have developed steadily over the decades and in the fall of 2020 we established the Volunteer University (Vol U), which offers a combination of traditional face to face classes, virtual programs, webinars and various on-line materials such as recorded videos and self-paced slideshows.

The Operations Department (Air & Ground Ops. and Emergency Services) also offer appropriate training for Cadet and Senior members involved in those activities.
